Fix 1. Update Instagram App & Change Account Type

1.1. Update Instagram App

  • Open Play Store or App Store.
  • Search for Instagram.
  • Tap on “Update”, if available.

1.2. Change Account Type

  • Open Instagram app.
  • Tap on Profile icon and then tap on 3 horizontal lines (Menu).
  • Tap on Settings and privacy, scroll down and then tap on “Account type and tools”.

If your account is personal then click on “Switch to professional account”.

If your account is professional, then click on “Switch to personal account”.

  • My account is personal so I click on “Switch to professional account”.
  • Click “Continue” to proceed. At last, select category what best describes you. You can select any category as per your choice and click on “Done”.
  • Click on “Creator” option and click on Next and Continue.
  • That’s It! The account switch has been completed.
  • Now, check if “Add Yours” working or not.

Fix 2. Clean Re-Install Instagram App

On Android:

  • Open Settings app > Apps > All Apps.
  • Look for Instagram and tap on it.
  • Tap on Storage.
  • Tap on “Clear Data” and “Clear Cache”.
  • Now, uninstall Instagram app from your Android.
  • Now, restart your phone.
  • After that open Play Store and Install Instagram app.
  • Login to your account and check if Add Yours working or not.

On iOS:

  • Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
  • Scroll down and tap Instagram.
  • Tap on Delete App then confirm by tapping it again.
  • Now, restart your iPhone.
  • After that open App Store and Install Instagram app.
  • Login to your account and check if Add Yours working or not.

Fix 3. Log out and Login To Instagram

  • Open Instagram app.
  • Tap on Profile icon and then tap on 3 horizontal lines (Menu).
  • Tap on Settings and privacy, scroll down and then tap on Log out.
  • Next, close the app, re-open it, and then log in

Fix 4. Install an Older Version of Instagram (For Android)

  • First, uninstall Instagram app on your Android phone.
  • Go to https://instagram.en.uptodown.com/android.
  • Select “Older Versions” and install an older version of Instagram.
  • Open the app, login to your account and check if Add Yours working or not.
