Fix 1. Run Palworld as an Admin

  • First close steam. Right-click on Steam icon and select “Run as administrator”. Go to Library.
  • Right-click on Palworld and select “Manage” and then click on “Browse local files”.
  • Now, right-click on Palworld executable file and select “Properties”.
  • Go to Compatibility tab and check mark “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Click on “Apply” and “OK”.
  • Now, launch the Palworld game and check if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 2. Modify Compatibility Settings of Palworld

  • If that doesn’t fix then checkmark “Disable Fullscreen optimizations”.
  • Checkmark “Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 7/Windows 8” under Compatibility mode.
  • Click on “Apply” and “OK”.

Fix 3. Update Your Graphics Card

  • Right-click on Windows icon and click on “Device Manager”.
  • Expand Display Adapters.
  • Right-click on your Graphics card driver and click on “Update Driver”.
  • Click on “Search automatically for drivers” and update it.
  • Now Launch the game and see if problem is solved or not.

Fix 4. Allow Palworld In Your Firewall

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On the left, click on “Privacy & security” and then click on “Windows Security”.
  • Click on “Firewall & network protection”.
  • Click on “Allow an app through firewall”.
  • Click on “Change settings” and then click on “Allow another app”.
  • Click on Browse and navigate to C Drive > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > Palworld > select Palword app > Add
  • Again, click on Allow another app > Browse and navigate to C Drive > Program Files > Steam > steamapps > common > Palworld > Pal > Binaries > Win64 > select Palword-Win64-Shipping > Add it.

Note: If you have installed any third-party antivirus program, then disable it for a while.

Now, check if problem fixed or not.

Fix 5. Modify Palworld Game Launch Options

  • Open Steam and navigate to Library.
  • Right-click on Palworld and select Properties.
  • In the General tab, under LAUNCH OPTIONS, enter -dx11 and check.
  • If that doesn’t fix the issue, then enter -dx12 and then check.

Fix 6. Disable Steam Overlays

  • Open Steam and go to Library.
  • Right-click on Palworld and select “Properties”.
  • Turn off the option “Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game”.

Fix 7. Clear Download Cache/Close Conflicting Programs

  • 7.1: Clear Download Cache
  • Open Steam, click on word Steam at top left and select “Settings”.
  • Go to “Downloads” tab and then click on “Clear Cache” next to Clear Download Cache.

7.2: Close Conflicting Programs

  • Disconnect external USB drive, mouse, disconnect additional joystick/controllers connected.
  • Unplug the Logitech or Thrustmaster racing wheel.
  • End the task for Razer Synapse or MSI Dragon Center.
  • Close all of your tabs to free up RAM and relaunch the game.

Fix 8. Verify Integrity of Game Files

  • Open Steam and go to Library.
  • Right-click on Palworld and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Installed” tab and then click on “Verify integrity of game files”.

Fix 9. Update Windows To Latest Version

  • Click on Windows icon and then click on Settings.
  • On left click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If any update is available, then Download and install it.

Fix 10. Uninstall and Re-Install Palworld

  • If nothing seems to work, then uninstall the Palworld Game.
  • Then fresh re-install the game from Steam Store.
