Causes: Why Emoji Disappeared From Keyboard On Samsung Phone?
- Some of the common causes that can lead to the disappearing or missing of emoji button on keyboard are:
- Maybe you have changed the keyboard.
- Due to the font, you are using on your Android phone. Different phone manufacturer has different fonts for their respective emojis. Hence, a question mark emoji might not display correctly.
- Maybe your keyboard is not up-to-date.
- Your phone software is not up-to-date.
- And so on…
Alright, so now let’s find out the solutions to fix Emoji keyboard disappeared or missing on Samsung.
Solution 1: Turn On Keyboard Toolbar
On your Samsung phone turn on the Keyboard toolbar. Here follow the steps to do so.
- On your phone, go to Settings.
- Tap General Management.
- Tap on Keyboard Settings and make sure Keyboard Toolbar is turned on. If it is not turned on then enable it.
Solution 2: Hold The Comma Key To Pick Up The Emoji Button
If you notice that emoji button is no longer available next to the Spacebar on the keyboard, then follow the below steps to fix the issue.
Note: The steps are given from Samsung phone running on Android 12, One UI 4.
- Turn on keyboard toolbar (see solution 1)
- Now, get back to the keyboard where you were typing the message. Hold the comma key and pick the emoji key to replace it.
- Turn off keyboard toolbar.
- Hold the comma key and pick up the emoji key again. (Note: Once you disable the toolbar, the keyboard will reset the comma key back to its default spot.)
Tip: Holding the comma key and trying to pick up the emoji button before enabling the toolbar, the device will not allow you to pick it.
Solution 3: Switch Between Keyboards
To fix the problem, you can also switch between keyboards, by simply tapping the keyboard icon or swiping down from the notification bar.
Otherwise,
- Go to Settings > General> Keyboard.
- Tap on Emoji.
Alternatively,
- Go to Settings > Language and input methods > Keyboard.
- Tap on Emoji.
