Fix 1. Update Windows & Verify Game Files

1.1. Update Windows

  • On your PC, click on Windows icon and then click on “Settings”.
  • On the left, click on “Windows Update” and then click on “Check for updates”.
  • If there is any update available, then download and install it.

1.2. Verify Fortnite Game Files

  • Open Epic Games Launcher and click on “Library”.
  • Then click on 3 dots next to “Fortnite”.
  • Select “Manage” and then click on “Verify” next to Verify Files.
  • Try to launch Fortnite after verifying files and see if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 2. Re-Install Epic Launcher and Enable “Run as Admin” & “Disable full-screen optimisations”

2.1. Re-Install Epic Launcher

Simply, uninstall Epic Launcher from your computer.

Restart your PC and then install Epic launcher.

2.2. Run Epic Laucnher as Admin with Disable full-screen optimisations Enabled

  • Right-click on “Epic Launcher” and select “Properties”.
  • Go to “Compatibility” tab.
  • Tick mark “Disable full-screen optimisations” and “Run this program as an administrator”.
  • Click on “Apply” and then “OK”.

Now, launch Fortnite and see if your problem is solved or not.

Fix 3. Set Epic Voice Chat Permission To “Nobody”

  • Go to: https://www.epicgames.com/id/login and login to your Epic account.
  • On the left, click on “PARENTAL CONTROL”.
  • If you have not created any Parental Control PIN, then create one.
  • Then go to “Social Permissions” tab.
  • Scroll down and under “Epic Voice Chat Permission”, select “Nobody”.

Close the browser and then launch the Fortnite game and see if it fixes your issue.

Fix 4. Modify Fortnite Additional Command Line Arguments

  • Open Epic Launcher.
  • Click on your Profile icon and select “Settings”.
  • Scroll down and expand “FORTNITE” option.
  • Tick mark “Additional Command Line Arguments”.
  • Enter the code “featurelevelES31” in the box.

Now, close the Epic launcher and relaunch it and launch Fortnite and see if your problem is solved or not.
