How To Fix Instagram Not Showing Camera Roll Photos
Fix 1. Check Update For Instagram App
- Open Play Store (for Android) or App Store (for iPhone).
- Search for “Instagram”.
- Tap “Update” if available.
- Now, check camera roll photos are showing or not.
Fix 2. Clear Cache and Data of Instagram App
On Android:
- Go to Settings > Apps > All apps/Manage apps.
- Look for Instagram and tap on it.
- Tap Storage/Storage usage.
- Tap on “Clear Cache” and “Clear Data”.
On iPhone:
- Go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
- Look for Instagram and tap on it.
- Tap on “Offload App” and confirm it.
- Reinstall Instagram from the App Store.
Fix 3. Check For Device Update
On Android:
- Go to Settings > System > System Update.
- Tap on “Download and Install” if an update is available.
On iPhone:
- Go to Settings > General > Software Update.
- Tap on “Download and Install” if an update is available.
Fix 4. Check Instagram App Permission For Photos Are Enabled
On Android:
- Go to Settings > Apps > All apps/Manage apps.
- Look for Instagram and tap on it.
- Tap on “Permissions”.
- Make sure permission for “Files and media” and “Camera” are Allowed.
On iPhone:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Scroll down and tap Instagram.
- Under the Allow Instagram to Access option, make sure permission for accessing Photos is enabled.
Fix 5. Share Photos From Gallery
Instead of sharing photos from Instagram, share it from gallery.
- Open gallery app on your device.
- Select the photos and click on Share icon.
- Here, click on “Instagram”, icon. You can share photos to Instagram Feed, Reels, Story, Chats. So, select as per your choice.
- Finally, share the photo by clicking on Next.
Fix 6. Move Photos From SD Card To Phone Internal Storage
If Instagram not showing photos that is saved in SD card, then it is suggested that you must move those photos from SD card to phone’s internal memory.
- Open File Manager/My Files.
- Click on Folder icon above and select SD card.
- Now, select the folder that contains photos or simply select the photos that you want to move to internal storage.
- After selecting folder/photos, click on Move option.
- Then click on “Internal Shared Storage”.
- Now, simply paste the photos to the desired folder or create a new folder and paste the photos.
- Now, open Instagram and check whether pictures are showing or not.
Fix 7. Install Older Version of Instagram (Only For Android)
- First, uninstall Instagram app on your Android phone.
- Go to https://instagram.en.uptodown.com/android.
- Select “Older Versions” and install an older version of Instagram.
- Open the app, login to your account and check if camera roll photos are showing or not.
